The irony of the ref telling Lomax to tell his players to keep control.

Good on McDonell for sticking up for his team mate though.

12 - 12 FT. Really exciting game. Leeds have been immense and no matter what happens in Golden Point, they’ve been the better side and deserve to win.

This board however, is becoming a terrible place to view games on/comment on them.

Winding up and patting players on the head should be free reign to get filled in

It is one consequence of getting rid of the biff. It gives players free reign for all the real, cheap soft grubby stuff with no fear of retaliation. If a player reacts they invariably get the penalty so are encouraged to do it.

Why do teams lose all game management in golden point.  That Makinson drop was never on.  Play for a field position kick rather than giving away a 20 metre 7 tackle set.

They’ve literally no halfbacks

Which is all the more reason to just drive it to the sticks and have a pop. Myler can kick a drop goal.

They've been immense in effort given everything that's gone on in the game, and they've been on the wrong end of some shocking referee decisions. But they had to be smarter with that chance.

Then Handley. Then Dodd again. Really poor management from both sides.

You have to feel for some of these players.

Must be tough playing your first ever game of Rugby League on live TV.
