I wouldn't argue with that being carded. But nothing said. Lol

Rugby Union the only game in the world were the spectators handle the ball more than the players.

Oh my god. In the first half hull had one where the Warrington winger held up the Hull player over the line after making initial contact with the head. Nothing given because it wasn't clear like that. Now it's a penalty try.

It's high, deliberately and with force

Far worse than the actual red

Initial contact below the shoulder and he slips up. Never a red even with these rules.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a penalty try given for an incident that is so far away from the line. And zero mention of any covering players. And no card. Literally making it up as they go along.

Yes, naturalIy wasn't going to appeal, but I do think that was high.

Jesus Christ. The ref and video ref have really made their lives very difficult.

I think were we are concerned the refs are keen to see and pen us for foul play.

Our own fault really.

If that’s a penalty try why weren’t Hull awarded one in the first half when a try was saved by contact to the head?

I said at the time about that call. Initial contact for that one was certainly around the head with no mitigation.

Not sure how that can be a penalty try. He hits the shoulder first and may well have taken him into touch without hitting the head so no certainty he would score.

The player has to have some control over what they're doing - the defender was, in their desperation, reckless. It's mitigated by bouncing up off the ball but I really can't see how that's not a yellow like Lisone last night.

Looks like the on field ref gave the penalty try and video ref couldn't find enough to overturn it?

the early season optimism around rugby league is rapidly disappearing. We really are experts in shooting ourselves in the foot..

You generally don’t get a yellow with a penalty try anymore t’s usually one or the other
