That’ll be the last World Club Challenge for a while

Wouldn’t suprise me, the Ausies are World class dummy spitters and take the ball homers

43 tackles by Brad O'Neil and a wonderful performance from a young hooker.

He is, Penrith got away with slowing the Wigan ruck down for the full 80 minutes

You  really really really really don't like Wigan, don't you.   😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀

If the ref was trying to help Wigan win the game he wouldn’t  have sent up that Bevan French try hed have just given it!

He was my man of the match no idea how French has got it.

Going back to the two big calls, we need to remember that the first went up as a try as the ref has to have seen the ball on the line at some stage (so therefore he must send it upstairs as a try), and the final one he didn't see the ball grounded, so couldn't send it up as anything other than no try. You can potentially have a go at his positioning (and that would be harsh), but surely you can't question his integrity for that.

That is more of a try than the Wigan double movement try.

Penrith were screwed over there.

Super event, but I feel pretty sad watching the succession of those decisions that influenced the outcome.

Wigan were super; Penrith were clunky. It went the full 80 minutes. That's not the story of tonight, sadly.

True. The story is that of the Wigan-haters grasping at straws, trying to outdo each other in trying to find reasons why Wigan should not have won.

Wigan were also doing it.

I know which team was benefiting from a quick play the ball all night and here’s a clue it wasn’t Wigan

Yes he is though. Read about it in the morning papers.

Think that might be a slight exaggeration.

I don't think so, the 2nd try was a clear forward pass, 3rd try was short and a double movement.

A ref not understanding the rules he is officiating to (with the ball steal) is pretty unforgivable incompetence tbh.

Those extra 12 tackles Harry Smith gave away right at the death!  Phew!

Really good example of why home advantage and home officials matter!

Very funny officiating, but I imagine the Aussies will be very reluctant to come back over again anytime soon!

I wouldn't blame them. They have every right to feel wronged.

Yes, thought he was a close second for MotM.

Got to give some credit to the Wigan fans too - haven't heard an atmosphere like that for some years.

Im not questioning his integrity at all. They were just poor calls IMO

I do think this was an NRL initiative wasn't it?
