Hull is white over this morning which presumably means the country will now grind to a halt.

If it's anything to go by, Cottingham had ground to a halt by the time I got there this morning.

Really came down at High Hunsley around midday. Proper big fat flakes and everything.

Light snow for about 10 minutes here in North London. As underwhelming as it sounds.

Some hail here in St Helens but no snow.

Apparently this time 35 years ago between one and two feet of snow fell all over the country.
