Colin from Accounts. On BBC iplayer

Starts off whimsical but by episode 3 it's genuinely laugh out loud.

"Is that a unicycle?"

"Yes."

"How long have you been single?"

Returning to BBC2, the brilliant “Guilt” by Neil Forsyth - 9pm 27/4

Also, “Piano Greats at the BBC” (inc Ray Charles*) now on IPlayer.
Hopefully, tonight’s “Little Richard” (King & Queen of rock ‘n roll) will repeat on IPlayer

* Perhaps other ancients herein were fortunate to see his two concerts in Manchester in the 60’s. Never forgotten!

A really good episode of WRC Highlights on ITV4 just now. The whole event of last weekend was excellently covered with the sad death of Craig Breen.

Now I have channel stumbled upon "Painting Birds with Jim and Nancy Moir" on Sky Arts, definitely something I can just sit and watch without intending to.

Vic Reeves going back to his actual name has been an eye opener for me

Gave it a go on these recommendations.

Loving it.

With the best, thats a good bit of PR, though I would say the Bedford team, theres, like, you know, 13 blokes who can get together at the weekend to have a game together, which doesnt point to expansion of the game. Point, yeah go on!

My wife persuaded me to go through a few old TV stuff among which was the West Wing. It's fascinating and seems like it doesn't belong to the world we now live in except maybe for echoes in quotes like " I'm sick of years and years of having to choose between the lesser of who cares!"  Art mirrors UK life in the 21st century.

My early evening is so much brighter as Foxtel are showing repeats of early episodes of Steptoe and Son.  Absolutely cracking comedy and obviously none of the woke BS that pervades programs nowadays.

I can’t remember the last time I heard someone say ‘kick him in the goolies’ 😄😄

Binged it. Aside from a couple of missteps - I thought the group of her friends just didn't ring remotely true and therefore wasn't as funny as they thought it was - I really enjoyed it.

Obviously, I am now hooked on an Icelandic handball comedy-drama called Afturelding.

Also now belatedly watching the final series and a half of Superstore.

Goolies is a much underused word , i think of Not the Nine O’Clock News . Hopefully it will be used in the Coronation service

I was born to run a club like this. Number 1, I do not spook easily, and those who think I do, are wasting their time, with their surprise attacks.

I was looking for something new to watch tonight and have subsequently discovered the series Ladhood, and I must say I'm really enjoying it!

I can see so much of myself and my mates from when we were teenagers in those losers. It captures everyday Northern teenage boys' lives perfectly and is making me feel really nostalgic for those days. Only difference is we didn't have a muslim in our circle of friends, we had an Italian called Luciano.

After finally finishing Blue Lights I’ll say it’s one of the best dramas I’ve seen on tv in a longtime

I haven't actually no, I don't know any Muslims, its not a massive community in East Yorkshire. I have a couple of Romanian friends, a couple of German friends, some Finnish family friends that I've never actually met, I know an Italian though I won't call them a friend (a different one to the one I knew in school) and a bunch of other weirdos and sad acts that have all been drawn to each other by our mutual love of a niche northern sport that has for over 125 years been on the verge of collapse. 👍

Set my sky box to record Inside no. 9 as usual,  to watch at the weekend and was watching the football,  Sheffield Wed game, when at about 10.10 pm I flicked back to BBC 2 just to see that the episode was recording properly. I was stunned, and disappointed,  I immediately cancelled the recording,  and started scanning the Internet to see if there was any mention of what had happened, couldn't see anything. Then went back to the footy, at 10.28 I turned back to BBC 2 wanting to see if the beeb would say anything before Newsnight came on about the previous unexpected half hour. Then I twigged,  it was a trick !! So many people had to be in on this to make it work, even the sky box tv guide was rigged!  I was certainly fooled. Downloaded the episode from " catch up" so all is well. What am I going on about? Find out for yourself if you don't already know !

I feel like I don't even know where to start.

You set a recording for something, but it wasn't on when it was originally advertised... and then I am completely lost  🤷‍♂️

I don't want to say too much because of spoilers, but click below to see what happened.
