Oldham RLFC:  We've already surpassed last year's season ticket total, so if you haven't secured yours yet what are you waiting for?

https://x.com/Roughyeds/status/1861379381215797650

Anybody know how many they sold this year?  800 perhaps?

A lot of people have a downer on the Championship, but if you’re ambitious and positive it’s a great place to build or rebuild your club, just so long as you don’t get carried away Fev style.

i think Oldham will have a great year and will attract fans. I don’t think they will win it but they will do well and consolidate.

For me York are the stand out club. Great young coach finding his feet. A strong positive end to last season. Great facilities. Chatting to York fans end of last year you could tell that they believed again. They have momentum and have made some great unheralded signings.

Joe Law from Trinity is a cracking signing. A player who I believe will find his way back into SL at some point.

What do you mean Fev style ?

Leigh have just announced season ticket sales have surpassed the 2024 number with 900 members yet to renew, current figure is over 6000 and with a decent wind over 7000 come the opener. The cheapest adult is £324.

Very good effort.

Only about another 80,000 to go.  Sadly it’ll be the same people going as ever and will be circa 65,000 over the weekend.  Meh.

Going to give it a miss this year DM, I know someone has to play the first game on the opening game, but to me you don't get the sense of occasion like watching other games whilst awaiting for your teams fixture to come round, and also putting the team with by far the least 'Travelling Support' being Catalan in that fixture will do nothing for the atmosphere in a ground that holds 52,000 and I doubt it will be a good look on TV.

Just my thoughts.

I am probably going early to watch that game then back into town for a lunch with former colleagues then drive back - first on doesn’t do it for me as an occasion

Someone has to go on first and it's always been the lesser supported clubs/teams with less interest. I have to admit as a viewer/attender I happily tend to skip the first games on  both days too.

Fair enough.  I’ve been to every one since it started except the Murrayfield one and we’ll be there again this time, already booked.  It’s always a good laugh but it’s the same diminishing group of people who go and certainly doesn’t “grow the game”.

Midland Hurricanes £99 full price season tickets.

Concessions available of course.

Get them while they're hot

Rochdale have announced only a handful of season tickets sold, what would be Midlands target, or any other League 1 club?

I just can't understand how these teams in League 1 survive with the pittance they get from the central funding. Yorks/lancs I can understand with having dual reg partners, but my neighbour was an ex Hull KR academy player who turned out for Midlands and got £100 if they lost. Plus he had to travel a fair few miles to training, at least only twice a week.

Following a weekend surge London Broncos can announce season ticket sales for the upcoming season have now surpassed last year’s figure.

Would be nice if they told us what that figure was.

Why so its impact could be diluted? Well done London fans, sometimes change and diversity can be a real coming together, stay positive and get behind the journey

The start of the behind the scenes work that goes on at Leigh to produce the great membership package in time for Christmas - the plus membership includes an £120 donation to the new elite academy for 2025, a shirt/polo of choice and other goodies on top of admission. It really does make the membership ticket special and a true 'Christmas Present' when ordered in time. Well done all concerned

Collected my Leigh Membership pack this afternoon.

Very good set up...Derek Beaumont, meeting and greeting....I don't get that off John W Henry when I hand over my £1000 annually for my LFC season ticket.

Jet 2 staff also present there helping out.

Last time I had a Leigh season ticket was 1987/88 season, so a long time ago. I first got one in 1983-4 season and I recall carefully writing in pencil on each numbered ticket the name of the corresponding opposing team according to the fixture list.

Very postive vibe about the place at the moment.

I love that Degsy understands the impact that being 'present' has. I'm sure that's been crucial to the success of his main business too. It doesn't cost a lot, but has a big impact.

Seen the pictures on the socials today, setup looked good and it was a really classy touch having all the Jet2 air stewardesses and what looked like 2 pilots dealing with the public.

Adrian Lam mentions that Leigh are above 7000 members now in the above.

Bearing in mind also that on average, Leigh are the ‘most expensive’ side in SL when it comes to ST on average.

Not giving them away for peanuts so fair play.

Just need to work a way now to increase the capacity more now for the bigger games instead of the deadlocked 10309 !
