Very happy with those... would have liked white shorts with the home kit but I'll live..

Well that's a disappointment! Between the neck, the stripe with the manufacturer in the middle and the sponsor it just doesn't work for me.

The offset design reminds me of badly hung wallpaper.

Both Wigan shirts look like they've had too much input from someone who doesnt know the first thing about creating a nice looking team kit. 'Over designed' springs to mind. Poor first effort from Kappa.

Weird one that. I thought Wigan had a rotation in place where they do a slightly mad kit then a traditional one the following year? They've essentially had two in a row from the former category that can be described as disrupted hoops.

I was born to run a club like this. Number 1, I do not spook easily, and those who think I do, are wasting their time, with their surprise attacks.

The sponsor's colour clashes unpleasantly with cherry and white, but I don't hate the rest.

I've seen far, far worse, after all: https://www.wiganwarriors.com/club/history1/kit-archive

That's ridiculously over-designed, but it could be salvaged if it weren't for the magenta. If they'd gone with green instead I don't think it would look quite so offensive.

I really wish when it came to designing kits that people would realise that less can be more.

A mess. The only way anyone is going to look good in that is if they accessorise it with a trophy.

London and Salford to go

We (London) will perhaps show off the design before Christmas, but the shirt won't be able to be bought until February.

Bit of a joke that you can't buy a single bit of London Broncos merchandise from the official store right now. All I wanted was a hat to replace the one I lost in Toulouse. 😑

Don't mind the Wigan shirts tbh, sponsor a bit intrusive, maybe use those colours on the mad away shirt.

No it’s rubbish like all modern rugby shirts. Give me a cotton shirt with a collar any day 😜

I don’t mind any of the shirts that have come out so far. No matter what the majority of people who buy shirts will buy these “rubbish” tops. Lots of people bluster about them on here but it’s a tiny % of the sales base in reality

Interested to know what evidence you've based that off? Shirt sales are definitely impacted by the design and manufacturing quality. A football example I read recently (I see no reason why it would be any different RL) detailed how Leeds United shirt sales dropped by 16% last season on the previous 2 years. They were still in the Prem, same manufacturer and even sponsor. Of course, there are other variables but the research suggested many didn't buy because of the design. 16% is huge.

edit: should add this was specifically against the home shirt. Away/third kits were relatively in line with previous seasons sales performance.

Interesting stuff, but the football market is much larger than a RL market so I doubt its a like for like comparison.   They also have the same shirts on sale for longer than a year

Of course it is and I had considered myself if maybe it was the more casual fans, rather than the diehards, who made up a large % of that number. You're possibly right that RL wouldn't see that kind of impact, based on there being less of a 'casual' market - but it does surely show it matters what clubs churn out? Not sure what you mean about the same shirts on sale for longer? Football* change theirs every season same as RL.

*Brentford recently adopted keeping theirs for 2 seasons. Interested to see if they stick that next time round.

Football don’t change all their shirts every season. Normally every 2 years from what I’ve seen.
