So the latest I’ve heard is the former owners of Glos All Golds are taking over at Cornwall - could be old news by now though.

That’s the end of Cornwall then.

Did they ?

Why are they not still here ?

Because of Covid depriving them of the significant income streams they were going to make from home games in SL with crowds above the average for the league, and because of a vote by other teams with vested interests in kicking them out.  Your analysis is ridiculous and bitter

Ridiculous? All Superleague clubs were deprived of gate income through Covid. You're entitled to your opinion but it's flawed.

Bitter? What on earth am I bitter about?

SL clubs, as did many other businesses, used substantial govt loans to get through Covid, without it a number would have folded. My understanding is Toronto did not have access to anything similar, which is why they went under.

They all lost huge amounts of money. Loans have to be repaid. Toronto claimed to have a backer with virtually unlimited wealth.

All Golds were primarily owned by the University, who are not involved. The other main person involved is also not involved. Amazing what utter garbage gets thrown around sometimes.

It takes wisdom to know when a discussion has run its course.

It takes reasonableness to end that discussion.

Don't his full history but used to be involved at All Golds rugby. Doesn't sound like a wealthy owner.

Was Director of Rugby for the University. My involvement at All Golds started in the first League 1 season, he only had minimal involvement if any by then, and none by the second season. He returned in a small role the penultimate season, but nothing major. As I said before none of the main players from All Golds are involved with Cornwall.

Ok - it’s a guy who was around Gloucester rugby league for years and was DOR at university of Gloucester helping develop players that went onto play for All Golds etc

So not utter garbage - just slightly off centre with second hand information.

He was on something called their Advisory Board. No idea what that was or the level of input!

Essentially he's on a hiding to nothing here. He's not claiming to be another Koukash or anything and isn't saying Cornwall will be in SL next season.

If he doesn't appear, Cornwall fold. If he gets involved and they fail and fold, he's a charlatan. Maybe be happy that anyone is willing to have a go, whilst not promising the earth?

I’m surprised he’s stayed in the game for so long, a man who loves rugby league and is desperate for it to expand was never going to be welcomed by the Heartlands Luddites.
