Martyn Sadler
I'm very sad to have to report the death of our Australian League Express correspondent Malcolm Andrews in hospital in Port McQuarie in New South Wales. Malcolm had been ill for some time, which is why his 'View from the Strand' column hadn't appeared in League Express for a few months. But I had been hoping that he would recover and start the column again. Sadly, that will now never happen. Malcolm was an incredible Rugby League lover and had written many books on our game. He was also a lover of British Rugby League, which was one reason why he was so keen to write for us. It was a great honour to have known him, and we will of course be paying tribute to him in Monday's edition of League Express. RIP Malcolm

Amber Avenger
Ah, I'm genuinely really sad about this. Always loved View From The Strand - an incredible writer who painted the vividest of pictures, with passion shining through. Maybe in time there could be a collection of the best entries from VFTS from over the years? RIP Malcolm SQL Honours Play off mini league winner - 2002. Bronze Medalist - 2003. Cumbrian Fanatic
Very sad to hear this, I wondered if he had been ill due to his column not being printed recently and none of the NRL reports carrying his name. Loved reading his column and the humour that went with it and miss it greatly. Just Browny
Very sad news. He was a very good writer. RIP. I can confirm 30+ less sales for Scotland vs Italy at Workington, after this afternoons test purchase for the Tonga match, £7.50 is extremely reasonable, however a £2.50 'delivery' fee for a walk in purchase is beyond taking the mickey, good luck with that, it's cheaper on the telly.
