“It’s a simple game, it’s a simple game!” Teams could save a lot of money and get rid of the coaches, players can work out the ‘simple’ game surely?

Predictions for the future -

Crusaders RL to get a franchise for 2012 onwards -WRONG

Widnes Vikings also to get a franchise - RIGHT

Crusaders RL to do the double over Widnes and finish five places ahead of them -WRONG

Widnes Vikings NOT to dominate rugby league in years to come! STILL TO COME

We don't have that many matches on C4 so it is a shame to have a mismatch.

I can confirm 30+ less sales for Scotland vs Italy at Workington, after this afternoons test purchase for the Tonga match, £7.50 is extremely reasonable, however a £2.50 'delivery' fee for a walk in purchase is beyond taking the mickey, good luck with that, it's cheaper on the telly.

Shame for Hills that they only brought two umbrellas.

I can never understand why RL pundits and commentators say this.

Its no simpler that a wide number of sports, including soccer.

Good from Adam Hills mentioning you can watch Catalans on Sky.

I noticed the C4 Head of Sport praised Sky last week, I wonder if there is an agreement to mention Sky's coverage, making it a positive for all involved, not least RL.

It's a shame there's only 1 match a month on C4 from now, I wonder what chances there are of getting more on after a couple of very good showings.

I think Adam saying watch the cats on sky tonight helps, hopefully sky see the benefit of a weekly channel 4 game, almost as an extended advert for them

Next match on the 19th March in Cheshire.

Sometimes the weather can be warm at the end of March. Let’s hope it’s at least dry and mild, as it will be two teams who like to play open rugby and it will be an excellent opportunity to showcase the sport. Whizzy Rascal will no doubt be factored in to the TV presentation too. A million views on Twitter already.

Another good presentation, but I'm not a fan of Leon Pryce doing the colour commentary

He was fine last week doing the punditry, but he mumbles too much into the mic to be a good colour commentator. In fact, he was so incomprehensible most of the time, I couldn't tell you if what he said made any sense!

RL is a simple game when it comes to rules etc. I think the saying 'it's a simple game' is more about telling people not to overcomplicate it rather than saying it's easy to do.

Have you seen the debate about the rules on the Wigan v Leeds thread? Don't tell anyone here they are simple 🤣

I didn’t mind although I might be biased as Saints fan watching Saints play described by an ex Saints player!

Yes indeed. It does the game a great disservice.

Football is as simple a game as it gets to play. No one doubts though that there is more to it than just kicking a ball and they push the tactical side of it.

I’ve never seen his programme (wouldn’t have known him from Adam last week, if you’ll excuse the pun), but I gather it’s popular so the more he mentions League the better 👍

The Last Leg is a live topical comedy show, and whenever Adam bigs up Rugby League, his fellow presenters take the mickey in an affectionately merciless way. All good fun, but people who take politics far too seriously will almost certainly find an excuse to be "outraged" by some of it.

But Adam's also a player of Rugby League, and you may well enjoy this documentary he made about PDRL: https://www.channel4.com/programmes/adam-hills-take-his-legs

Thats obviously the selling point to sky to give up exclusivity.

People watching channel 4 wanting to watch more rugby league which is behind a pay wall.

Suppose its similar to sky showing boxing on their channels but then showing the big fights as ppv

I know quite a few people who get now tv passes just for the RL and this is also a good avenue into this part of sky

It's not really true. You are a bit soft about any negative opinion.

Just because somebody doesn't like Baz and Tez doesn't mean they are always negative. And you can dislike commentators without having to come up with a credible replacement.

I can think RL is the best game in the world but think Baz and Tez are horrendous pundits. I'm not sure why you get your knickers in such a twist about it.

That's just a feature of RL I'm afraid, and we shouldn't be afraid of it. Every game can't be a classic nor should we expect it to be.

There are currently 6 Premier League games at half time and 5 of them are 0-0, I doubt any of those clubs are the slightest bit bothered about the product.
