shaw llewellyn Posted January 17, 2024 Posted January 17, 2024 Workington site has fans suggesting they now comfortably have the best halfback partnership in the league. Time will tell. 2
Happyed Posted February 23, 2024 Posted February 23, 2024 Rawsthorne is a big loss. We have options on that wing but there’s a chance now for someone to make that shirt their own. I’m not convinced by Johnson. Anyone know when Sambou is back?

I think Johnson is primarily a centre or full-back. He's a good player, though not quick enough for wing in my opinion. 1
tandle Posted February 23, 2024 Posted February 23, 2024 this is not a moan but i think oldham made a mistake in not resigning ah van top try scorer last year, scored two tries on sunday for north wales against widnes. 2

jroyales Posted March 9, 2024 Author Posted March 9, 2024 Has Whittle left the club? If so he's a massive loss.

Dave Naylor Posted March 18, 2024 Posted March 18, 2024 Statement: Emmerson Whittel Quote Oldham Rugby League today confirmed the immediate release and deregistration by mutual consent of Emmerson Whittel. Emmerson was in the second year of a two year contract and he leaves the club at the start of its League One campaign. https://roughyeds.co.uk/2024/03/statement-emmerson-whittel/
m brooksy Posted March 19, 2024 Posted March 19, 2024 Shame about Whittel. Was one of the unsung hero's of 2019 promotion winning seasons and then was one of the only shining lights of the 22 an 23 seasons. Think he could have forced his way into the team over the course of the season. 3
Logic Posted March 19, 2024 Posted March 19, 2024 Disappointed to see the news of the departure of Emmerson Whittel, a player who had certainly proved his worth with his service to our club, both prior to and following his spell in Australia. He was a strong player with a first class work rate and an aggressive edge, that made him both a valuable and valued player. With his experience and age, no doubt it won't be long before he joins another club, possibly one in Championship. Now, that would be ironic. Good luck to him. 6

He'll (along with the rest of the ex-Roughyeds) have a point he wants to prove next weekend. It's going to be a spicy one! philipw Posted March 21, 2024 Posted March 21, 2024 https://roughyeds.co.uk/2024/03/roughyeds-and-salford-announce-dual-reg-partnership/ This is interesting- seems to benefit us more than the ‘senior’ partner.

The Art of Hand and Foot Posted March 21, 2024 Posted March 21, 2024 Shame about Emerson. He was a hundred percenter, no doubt. But, sometimes someone else's 80 % is better. Tbh it was almost definite he was going to the butterflies, I would've put a clause in his release that he couldn't play against us. As I've said previously, the ex players should've proved a point last year. 2
chiefgeneral Posted March 22, 2024 Posted March 22, 2024 (edited) See Cian Tyrer has gone to Worky on loan. I'd have him further up the pecking order than Johnson Edited March 22, 2024 by chiefgeneral

shrewsbury roughyed Posted March 23, 2024 Posted March 23, 2024 It’s quite strange to be in a position where we can loan good players out rather than being desperate to get them from elsewhere- though Tyler Dupree can come back, if he wants.

Doubt it, he's at Wigan isn't he? Though I thought I'd recalled we were DR with Wigan and now Salford..
