Beaumont and you all know he is correct.

Mr Beaumont  says #HullFC score is a disgrace to the game take nothing from @leedsrhinos but you would not put that on any of the top 6 of the @RLChampionships to relegate @LondonBroncosRL ahead of you is an embarrassment! @TheRFL this needs sorting!

I say, So who is going to defend Hull FC for the way that they have treated this season, they have made a mockery of the sporting contest that is Rugby League Football.

So you think we all agree that the bottom club should be saved from relegation?

Yeah, blow out scores have never happened in the past.....he's a moron.

He's so thin skinned he's almost opaque, his constant griping about Hull is like a child whining because someone took his ball of him.

We see these score lines in the NRL and we are saying it is the best season ever.  Yet in the Super League it is a disgrace.

He’s an embarrassment Harry.

His follow up was even better, congratulating himself for getting bites!!

What a strange man he really is.

I don't mind responding to his outburst. It's a dull grey Saturday with no other comedy acts in view.

There is something very Trump like about him.

He spouts nonsense and his followers (dressed in their tribal apparel) are compelled to defend his utterances however ridiculous they get.

Make Leigh Great Again.

I think the underlying point here is that Hull are having the season that they're having because they know it doesn't matter. They probably ruled themselves out of playoff contention pretty early so it was just a case of coasting till the end. I'm honestly surprised they haven't been on the end of more thrashings.

Similarly, London are having the season that they are having because it doesn't matter. They knew they weren't going to win the title and with nothing to build on there was really no incentive to put any effort in. Again I'm surprised they haven't been on the end of more thrashings (or picked up any points).

In summary, well done IMG. I hope you're happy.

We've got officials making mistakes. We've got players cheating. Now we've got teams not trying. Lastly, we've got fans irrationally  opposed to IMG. Whatever had happened to this great sport of ours? 😄

Hull haven't acted like a club that feel it doesn't matter. They sacked their coach and have made substantial changes.

And if it doesn't matter, why are the other clubs apparently trying?

Hull are where they are because of poor recruitment, appointments and management, not because it doesn't matter.

When we had basic p&r we had poor teams too.

Is this the same bloke who withdrew all of his funding from Leigh part way through a 2nd division season in a big sulk?

Or is it the one who attempted to renege on players' contracts?

He may have made the current iteration of Leigh a success but he is still a blowhard.

Sport, amongst other things, is a dream-world offering escape from harsh reality and the disturbing prospect of change.

Exactly.  If professional players (and coaching staff etc.) have stopped trying despite thousands of fans turning up and paying hard earned money to watch them every week then that is a statement on the culture and attitude, not the competition they play in.
