Can't wait till they are confined to history Chris, of which I have no doubt they will be.

As i say you’re as obsessed with them as those you deride.

your ire shouldn’t be directed at IMG anyway, they are just consultants, you should be directing at the RFL and you know the people from the clubs that engaged with them and those that voted for it, like your mate degsy.

Yes he did, but do you know the comments he reacted to?

But what has that to do with those who hide behind their anonymity in making comments the way they do cowards.

Says the anonymous Harry.😄.

I tell you what. I'd be happy to meet him face-to-face.  Check with him and let me know where and when and I'll let him have my details

Calling people anonymous keyboard warriors, while being  called Harry Stottle on a forum has to be peak irony 😂

When I actually read some of the comments on here towards Mr B made by the cowardly Keyboard Warriors who are really tough in their anonymity, only diplomacy prevents me from saying what I really think about them, and would they say it to his face, no they would probably mess their pants first, and they know who they are.

So you're accusing other people of being keyboard warriors for criticising Beaumont's keyboard warrior comments about Hull FC? Are you totally lacking in irony?

Beaumont voted for it and since then has seemingly done nothing but complain about  it. After seeing Leigh yo yo between the two leagues and money that had to be spent on chasing promotion, then letting players go after relegation and then spending money chasing promotion again he would think it’s a good thing that clubs have a chance for stability.

No all I am interested in is proper sporting competition that the bottom club gets relegated, whoever it maybe I do not hold with protecting anyone finishing bottom not even the French teams as was the call on here numerous times.

But you said DB was right, and he says Hull should be relegated and London saved, even though London are currently bottom of the table.

I can only add 1 + 1 together.

We're you not about when we had 4 clubs not long ago who could all have been relegated and it was grabbing the attention on this site more than the battle for the play offs, and there were so many moaning about that on here, tell you what Toby if it was now that way between London and Leeds that would also be grabbing a lot of attention and big headlines.

Shifting the goalposts there Harry (or whatever your real name is).

Your post was in defence of Derek Beaumont's frankly hysterical attempt to use Hull's poor form to whip up a crisis, and take aim at IMG.

His #ultimaterugby hashtag gives the game away that this is part of an attempted power grab, not some sort of altruistic stand.

Derek's done some good things for Leigh, but people should be wary of following him down whatever blind alley he heads down without question.

Hull's poor form and the relegation of London is not a crisis, and there's nothing for the RFL to do. And they certainly shouldn't be engaging with twitter ranting with someone who can raise his concerns with the top brass anytime he wants in private.

Well here's my take on  DB for what it's worth.

Prior to meeting him 100% wasn't a fan

After several times 100% really rate the man straightforward honest puts his money where his mouth is very sensible and actually all round very generous nice guy.

That's my only comment

I don't think I could 100% rate any man that wears leopard print outfits.

Is this the same bloke who withdrew all of his funding from Leigh part way through a 2nd division season in a big sulk?

Or is it the one who attempted to renege on players' contracts?

He may have made the current iteration of Leigh a success but he is still a blowhard.

Don’t you mean he cut his cloth accordingly  so as not to end up like Widnes, Bradford, Newcastle, Whitehaven and now Halifax? All players found new clubs and contracts settled?

I'm sure they were all terribly thankful for the experience.

It's not really a case of "I know he's right", rather a case of "I know he's trolling". And it's certainly not "cowardly hiding behind a keyboard" to disagree with and point out the flaws in his point.

Blow-outs like that happen. I probably don't have to look back to suggest that Beamont's Leigh team have been on the receiving end of similar hidings and indeed, some similar remarks.

I was at Headingley last night in a role of a sponsor of the Leeds disability rugby teams and I can tell you that I came across many people at Hull that are very proud and committed to what they're trying to achieve on that front. Yes, if the first team had that same level of pride and commitment, Hull may not be where they are now, but the people I came across at the Hull club were far less of a disgrace that I could argue DB has shown himself to be on occasion.

As for DB himself, he's an RL guy that puts his money into the sport and his club - one that has developed well over recent years. That's to be applauded. However, I also don't think it's unfair to hold the view that he can be a crass, boorish individual with an outlook on the sport that I think is small-minded.

Ah yes:

Leigh owner Derek Beaumont is calling on the Centurions' top-earning players to tear up their contracts for next season or risk the club going under.

The Championship club offloaded six of their best players to Super League clubs on the eve of the transfer deadline after failing to secure promotion and last week announced the departure of two more overseas players.

However, Beaumont says the club still need to slash their wage bill if they are to survive and he has put the onus on the players.

"I am disappointed that a small number of players asked to move on didn't do so and take alternatives presented to them which would have ensured the short-term future of the club without increasing liabilities," he said.

"What is vitally important is that we can get the remaining players who are contracted beyond this year to find alternative clubs and accept some responsibility for the failings on the field.

"The harsh reality is that if they attempt to stay, then the club won't be able to survive and then they would have to go anyway so I am confident common sense will prevail and the club's history and place in the community will be respected."

Beaumont, who says he has ploughed a seven-figure sum into the club, has already announced his intention to leave at the end of the season.

He says in the worst-case scenario, Leigh would go into liquidation and reform as a community club.
