Have I been drinking too much, or did this Abdul story come out a week or two back?

It did but it’s only just been officially confirmed by Hull

The knee injury came out a couple of weeks ago, or how serious it was, the contract being terminated broke yesterday i believe.

Thought i was going mad. This was 9 days ago from Matt Shaw. As you say Padge, this is the official confirmation I suppose.

Cracking signing for Sheffield

I hope he isn't cracking but he's certainly had a few injury problems down the years.

Glad to hear he has got a club and hope it goes well for him; he's still only young so he should have many good years ahead of him.

I can confirm 30+ less sales for Scotland vs Italy at Workington, after this afternoons test purchase for the Tonga match, £7.50 is extremely reasonable, however a £2.50 'delivery' fee for a walk in purchase is beyond taking the mickey, good luck with that, it's cheaper on the telly.

He needs to stay at Sheffield for a while to get back to playing 1st choice at Fullback. Was looking good at Bulls before his move to KR.

Greg Eden signs for Hunslet

Halifax and Fev fans will tell you that he looked a shadow of his former self last season but fair play to Hunslet as it's a "name" signing who might help put a few more bums on seats.

Denive Balmforth has signed a 3 year extension at Hull. Perhaps the best bit of business we have made this off season. With the right coaching he can be a special player imo.

I believe he's currently schrodinger's Jack walker, depending on if he's in or out of the squad.

Noah Booth joins hull kr with Neil Tchamambe joining us on a year long loan. Lot of unhappy Wakey fans this evening. He was definitely one for the future. I'd of been ok with it if we'd got a permanent signing but to me we're just developing a player who goes back to hull kr.

His contract with HKR runs out this season se we get a look at him for a potential deal HKR would have signed him up if they wanted him. He's a winger so hopefully gives some more depth

Yes HKR have got themselves a good young player. What we have is a chance to look at another young player ,if he warrants a contract he will get one. If he doesn't make the grade,no loss.

Back to Booth , you can't keep them all and he was down the pecking order at the club. It's seems like HKR gave him an excellent contract so he chose to leave. These things happen  , but Trinity are putting together a great production line so his departure won't be missed in my opinion.

This doesn't happen too often. Many Saints fans seem unhappy about losing Vaughan:

Vaughan played on DR with us last year and was a star, really committed and it should be interesting as I would have expected him to play before Hurrell this year but it might be different now as they wont be bothered about developing him.

Do you think that means Wigan will not be renewing Keighran’s contract, and promoting Eckersley with Vaughan as his backup?

That would make sense now you mention it

Gutted about Vaughan. Great prospect.

Staveley leaving Hull FC for a trial at Cas.

No suprise given his family’s public comments on the goings on at Hull.

Good pick up for Cas, looked one of the few youngsters to have genuine first team quality until his injury.

He’ll get game time and if he stays healthy, he’ll go well for Cas and improve their front row.

never heard if him, looks a big unit and will cover the outside backs

He doesn't appear to have made any NRL appearances so not quite sure how he has got a work permit, not unless he has a British passport

The rules were hugely relaxed a couple of years back so the RFL will give a governing body endorsement even without NRL apps (or something along those lines). It was designed to let clubs pick up younger and up and coming players from Oz as opposed to the traditional pre-retirement jolly or delinquents.
