I don't really have a prediction for this game - more hopes and expectations about how it is played. It's the first game - it should set the benchmark for speed and intensity. You'd like to think it'll be a tight score line but as long as the error count is low it'll look great! I'll say Wigan by 8. Score prediction 22-14

The last time we played Wire they took us apart. I think that should focus the mind somewhat. 2 evenly matched teams, so home advantage will make the difference in a cracker. Which could well be watched by SL’s biggest ever crowd (even if 10s of thousands of them don’t actually watch it…)

Completely agree. I'd like Wigan to win but I'd just like an intense game, with some good trys scored. It's a big occasion but I hope it doesn't lead to the teams clamming up a bit, like can happen in Grand Finals. The conditions should help attacking rugby, so I hope we see the players play with some freedom and I think we will.

Going on form, based on the last time these clubs played in the USA, I predict the following.

1. Bevan French to have a huge strop and refuse to talk to the media

2. A massive punch-up and a very angry referee

3. Zero follow-up

Home advantage?

Probably confused with Saints, they have a reputation for players feeling at home gambling.

Wire by 6. Hope I'm right. It'll be interesting to see how full the stadium will be. Wish I had the money to go. Stadium looks awesome. Fingers crossed for a Wire win. Will be close either way I think.

Really looking forward to see how it looked in stadium . KO 9.30 must delay my visit to pub by a hour

Dave Woods: "I've been loooooooking up the statistics, and incredibly Wigan haven't conceded a try on American soil for over 35 years."

I can confirm 30+ less sales for Scotland vs Italy at Workington, after this afternoons test purchase for the Tonga match, £7.50 is extremely reasonable, however a £2.50 'delivery' fee for a walk in purchase is beyond taking the mickey, good luck with that, it's cheaper on the telly.

Rugby league to be the winner.

Hope it’s a 40 all draw with tries galore (but I prefer a 1 point golden point win ) 😉

Hope the fans have a ball 👍

Over 6000 Wire fans are making the trip, which is fantastic. I can only assume Wigan will take a similar number.

Absolutely amazing turnout given the hard times we are living in.

I remember going to watch Wire play Catalans in Barcelona when we took over 3000 to the Olympic Stadium. I was gobsmacked, but this is even more incredible.

Well done to both sets of fans, I'm impressed and very jealous.

Let's just hope it's a cracking game, whoever wins.

Now the Wire!

I lived in Philadelphia PA for many years and I know how confused the locals get when they here English regional accents other than the home counties . I'd like to hear some stories from downtown wiganers how the locals react to the Wigan accent . Great accent by the way have a great time folks

Pleased to hear this match get a mention on Absolute Radio earlier, and even more extraordinarily my mother in law somehow knew about it.

There was a surprisingly long piece about it on the BBC national news about an hour ago. The game has really got some traction in the media.
