Wasn't great for us, when we saw his size we expected a lot more, his granddad used to play for us as well so we were looking forward to it but by the end of the season he couldn't make the 17 apart from the last game when we had no players, Gibson who we will miss massively and Spedding incoming to you as well

How could he possibly disprove a rumour you heard 30 years ago

It's OK mate, I'm having a few beers with Matt Adamsons sons dog groomers brother next week, I'll ask him, he'll know for sure....

Zac Fulton re-signed for the Bulls after leaving at end of season and turning down a new deal.

Rumours around that Noble replacing O'Carroll is why he has decided to come back.

Why do you reckon there was this spat concerning Phil Adamson between the then Manager and Coach at Saints:-

Adamson caught in war of words

21st May 1999

Dubbed 'the Tower,' 6ft 4in Adamson signed for Saints from Penrith Panthers before Ellery arrived last August, but has made only three appearances pn the substitute's bench
Said Hanley: "An article appeared in the programme for the away game at London Broncos which stated that I was responsible for bringing Phil to Knowsley Road. That is not true.I hold nothing personal against Adamson. I just feel I should not have to explain myself to supporters, and I am happy to say Adamson is working hard and playing in the Alliance side.
"I do not seek credit and I am prepared to accept valid criticism, but do not involve myself in politics, because what happens on the field is my only concern, and I gave football manager Eric Hughes the chance to clarify the matter in the next programme.
However, as the man who signed Adamson, Eric failed to do this, and as a result my column in the programme has not appeared since,'' added Ellery.
Hughes commented: "I am disappointed that Phil Adamson has been singled out to emphasise the fact that the current squad was assembled before Ellery Hanley was appointed.

I did quite a lot of work in St Helens at the time, and it was well stated by Saints fans I spoke to that they had mistakenly signed the wrong brother.

Now one of you are probably to young to know anything about it, and the other one does not surprise me at all with his comments.

Hi Charlie was it the Adamson's? Matt was a high profile player but for some reason Phil was sighed by Saints which at the time was said to have been a mistake? Both played at Penrith, Phil only played 3 games at Saints, a couple of years later Matt signed for Leeds and did a couple of seasons, Surely saints fans could help out here.

I'm pretty sure Phil Adamson was signed by one Saints coach just before he was replaced by another (Shaun McRae replaced by Ellery Hanley, or Ellery replaced by Ian Millward) and he was informed he was not part of the new coach's plans. Just bad timing.

This is far more plausible than Harry's urban myth/nonsense.

To be fair to Harry (might need a lie down now) that was definitely the really strong rumour at the time? 🤷‍♂️. Never proven/disproven either way.

Zac Fulton re signs with the Bulls. On early season form a definite SL quality player we signed him as he was in Manlys 30 man first team squad. Drifted off in my eyes and thought he was on to something bigger. Alas no offers and a 2 year deal with us. Depends what Fulton shows up next season...

That whole piece clearly reads as Adamson was signed by Eric Hughes before Ellery become coach.

Nothing hints at the wrong signing, Hanley just didn't like him it seems.

And .... damn straight I'm too young to remember I would have been 9 when that article/piece was written. 😂

One more reason to put some ENG-PNG games on in 2025.

Plus 3 at Donny. Could probably put a decent side together from English based players.

Simbiken is an awesome signing for Cas and SL. I felt he was on track to play NRL in 2025.

He works hard, tackles everything, and scores tries through his hard line running close to the line.

Really looking forward to seeing him running off Rimbu next year.

Yes one of the best backrowers in QLD cup, was probably MOTM in that State championship game. Definitely would have been in Kristian Woolf’s plan’s at the Dolphins next year. Very big player for a second rower, very deadly running on to short balls near the line.

Unfortunately Cas don't get near the line too often.  😉

He probably suffers from "I think I am better than I am" syndrome.

I guess this might confirm some of the Tyrone May rumours that have been doing the rounds in Hull over the last 2 or 3 weeks. Short-term stop gap for 2025 I guess, but a pretty good one...

Are Hull KR on a quest to make sure they don't lose any games on conversions this year? Leave some kickers for the rest of us🤣

In all seriousness that will be 2028 at least I think, our Academy was woefully under-resourced until the last 3 years and there'll be a long time-lag now we have proper investment.

Having the 3G pitch open next to the ground now will have a huge impact. This is a photo of multiple pathways groups using it last week in the morning before the first team, and the local community clubs like Dockers and East Hull use it in the evenings so we'll be physically integrated with the wider talent network. For 30 years all the best talent in Hull went across the river to Hull FC, including kids attending East Hull schools with Rovers coaches as teachers like Kirk Yeaman, ex-players kids like Craig Hall and even Paul Cooke who was instrumental in Hull winning their first major trophy in decades. Those days are over, and I've no doubt in a decade's time you'll see a totally different player mix at Rovers. The aim is to replicate Wigan, Leeds and St Helens.

King Vuniyayawa signs for Featherstone.

Had he been released from Salford after last season or has he been released now as the start of cost cutting measures?
