RIP Hughie, a proper legend and a damn nice bloke as well. I only saw him a few years ago when he was playing a veterans’ game and he was in fine form then. This is one of my favourite pics of mine of the last few years.

The footage is so bad, even Boyzone are embarrassed about it!

"I am the avenging angel; I come with wings unfurled, I come with claws extended from halfway round the world. I am the God Almighty, I am the howling wind. I care not for your family; I care not for your kin. I come in search of terror, though terror is my own; I come in search of vengeance for crimes and crimes unknown. I care not for your children, I care not for your wives, I care not for your country, I care not for your lives." - (c) Jim Boyes - "The Avenging Angel"

Dennis Hartley Doncaster, Castleford & GB prop. From the era when hard men ruled the game he was the enforcer that any half wanted on his team. You didn't take liberties with Dennis about! Off the field a gentleman and brought through many youngsters as Colt's coach. RIP big fella.
