Looking at the plans, if they are all on sale maybe there are around 6-7k maximum still available. It looks like HKR haven't sold anything in the North Top Tier, but they have opened it (every other row), although that may just be because Wigan have sold enough to have to open the stand anyway. It looks like there pretty much isn't really too much left in that Wigan end at all. A couple of blocks in the quadrant.

It’s only Monday, it will sell out. I did read that the capacity is only 69k this year, which is a pity. Am glad nether side has any disciplinary issues. Hopefully it’ll be 13 v 13 from start to finish.

What's the story in that capacity reduction?

Is Rhodri Jones the most wishy washy speaker we have ever had in a prominent role in RL?

A fortnight ago this was on the SL website:

And with pre-sales at their strongest level for years, the Grand Final is virtually guaranteed to have an attendance in excess of 65,000 for the first time since 2017.

Today, on Total RL Jones said:

“Crowd expectation is 65000 mark is definitely achievable.”

That is far less cocksure than the earlier statement.

Yup. He couldn’t sell water to a bloke in the desert. Check out his career. 😳

I think that’s based on the 3rd tier of the North Stand not being used, but they’ve opened it now.

They only released those blocks tonight, same at the Rovers end. Those are unsold hospitality seats, does my head in they do this every year: The RFL always prices hospitality options too high, for the Challenge Cup Final too, and then as a result doesn’t sell them.

There is a mid-market for business hospitality that rugby league sits in. It’s one of the reasons we get corporate business at clubs, because we are a better value option than local football sides. Then when it comes to our own major events, we set football-level prices and wonder why the hospitality tickets don’t sell.

Year after year! We need better price segmentation options, you can still sell the top end but also offer mid-range options to access that demand.

Rant over! 🤣🤣🤣

So there's not a great many tickets left but we're still selling seats in alternate rows towards the back of the stand that is furthest away from the pitch. Scratching my head.

Saturday evening rugby innit.

The women's figure is an amazing result considering how hard Sky tried to hide it. It wasn't even listed as a live event on NowTV, I only found it on Sky Sports 20-odd because I knew it was on.

I can confirm 30+ less sales for Scotland vs Italy at Workington, after this afternoons test purchase for the Tonga match, £7.50 is extremely reasonable, however a £2.50 'delivery' fee for a walk in purchase is beyond taking the mickey, good luck with that, it's cheaper on the telly.

Great news.

I hope BBC/SL come up with a better plan for scheduling fixtures next season. Having matches on BBC2 at the same day/time on consecutive weekends must help.

Pleased for the BWSL. I wonder if they'd do better on BBC Sport.

Big screen in the corner plus space for the band?

If only there was a big space in a stadium that everyone can see that wasn't in the seats. That would be good for a band (don't mention the RLWC opening ceremony).

Just been on ticket website to book my England vs Samoa tickets and had a look at the GF seat map while I was there. Doesn’t look like there’s many seats left for GF

Surprised that there hasn’t been any real official update on ticket sales for Saturday

Rhodri Jones just doesn't seem interested in this stuff. He plays everything down, and when he does speak, pretty much says nothing.

Wigan have 23 tickets left online to sell. They possibly also have some paper tickets to sell?

Hull KR have a few hundred online.

The RFL still have a reasonable amount in the top tier, some are not yet in sale.

Sounds like he is the RFL's kind of guy.

According to the Wigan ticketing website, a big block of available seats have just appeared at the Wigan end in block 208. Transferred from RFL, maybe?

Rugby league ticketing does my head in!
